We absolutely are “Better Together!”  As a Volunteer Organization, everything Hope in a Suitcase achieves depends on partnerships and the participation of our local community.  Thanks to the many organizations and sponsors who collaborate to make our work possible and to provide a better future for Los Angeles foster youth. Aviva for collaborating with us to provide Shopping Day experiences and packed suitcases to children served through the Relative Support Services program.

CASA/LA for their advocacy of our most vulnerable children and for referring and accompanying the children they serve to our Shopping Days

Children's Bureau for working with us to pilot our program. 

Department of Children & Family Services for housing and implementing our on-site Hope Closets and referring highest need tweens & teens in foster care to our Shopping Days.

Make Good, Inc. with whom we opened our shared headquarters (The Emporium: Foster Resource & Literacy Center), for providing new high interest titles to the children we serve via their Book Foundation program, and for providing transitional aged foster youth with essentials and wear to work clothing through the TAY Boutique.  

Wayfinder (formerly known as Junior Blind) for serving the most vulnerable children in our community, and for partnering with us to provide duffle bags, blankets, clothing and other comfort items to children awaiting placement with a loving foster family. 

WestCoastArchives for donating storage space, as well as providing a seamless and efficient pick-up and delivery system for packed suitcases.
